This read is so eye, heart and mind-opening! The reference to Christ's agape love tied everything together so perfectly. Beautifully written, Tumi. πŸ’Œβ€

Lauryn Hill said we don’t know love like we should. You delivered the connotations of her words so perfectly

Loving someone does not mean they keep the same access to you after trust is broken. Their humanity can remain intact while the relationship, the closeness, and the boundaries change.

β€œWe often accuse people of changing when perhaps they simply never understood the conditions we quietly placed upon them.”

you are such a great writer 🀍

This is so beautiful Tumi.

What stood out for me is how you distinguished between love and relationship. I love that separation because it is important for us to acknowledge that love alone is not enough to sustain a relationship however every relationship requires love as its foundation.

Love is the feeling while the relationship is the actual work … the β€œconditions.”

β€œPerhaps the answer lies in distinguishing love from relationship”. I still love my former girlfriend. I just do not want her in my life.
